What is Allied?
ALLIED stands for the Alliance of Labor Leadership for Industry Excellence and Development. It’s the joint effort of three organizations that build our region. Our purpose is to keep labor and management working together in ways that strengthen the industry as a whole. That means supporting workers, backing responsible contractors, promoting high standards, and helping projects move with fewer breakdowns and better results.

Mental Health Is Part of the Job
This industry can be tough on people. Pretending otherwise helps no one. ALLIED helps raise awareness of resources that support workers and families across the trades, including UA Pipe PALS and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Real support matters, on and off the job.
Advocacy That Supports the Trades
Policy shapes the future of this industry. We help support legislation across DC, Maryland, and Virginia that protects workers, strengthens labor standards, and supports the kind of contractor-labor relationships that keep this region moving.
